Accountancy.

More than numbers. Getting a grip on your business.

What does an accountant actually do for you?
Well, with us it’s not just check boxes and make reports. Of course we make sure the financial statements are correct – that’s the basics. But the real value? That’s in the conversation. In the advice. In looking at your company together: are the processes running the way you want them to? Can you make adjustments in time if necessary? Are you in control?

Because let’s face it: you don’t want to be surprised by your own numbers.

When are you subject to audit?

You become auditable if you meet two of these three criteria in two consecutive years:

Criteria 1

Turnover.

More than €15 million

Criteria 2

Balance sheet total.

More than €7.5 million

Criteria 3

Staff.

50 FTE or more

Frequently Asked Questions.

What is the difference between compiling and auditing financial statements?

Compilation = properly processing and reporting financial figures.
Audit = independently verifying whether the figures are accurate. An audit may only be conducted by a licensed accountant.

Is there anything I can do to make checking cheaper or easier?

Yes. By getting your administrative organization and internal processes right. We proactively advise you on that.

What happens if I'm required to file a tax return but don't do anything?

Then you run the risk of an adverse or limited audit opinion. And that can have legal or financial implications, for example, in credit applications or grants.

I am receiving a grant. Do I need to include an audit report with it?

Often they do. Especially at higher amounts. We provide those statements and guide you through the entire grant process.

Do I have to find out for myself if I am subject to audit?

Rather not. We do that review for you – including consolidation – and give you clear advice on what needs to be done and which entities are subject to the audit requirement. And in some cases, we can also think with you about how to avoid audit requirements.

Common pitfalls.

  • Taking action too late.
  • Thinking an audit is "just expensive."
  • No view of group structures.
  • Poor preparation for grant audits.
